We are thrilled and grateful for all the local and national coverage this year’s Pet Mayor Contest received—especially the Election Day winner’s announcement. Discovery News’ Jennifer Viegas covered the final exciting moments and featured all the Pet Mayor candidates in a wonderful video and blog post.

It has been a blast to connect with pet lovers from around the globe through Twitter, with many casting Pet Mayor ballots and “Re-Tweeting” Pet Mayor news through the Twitterverse. Twitter has helped us raise awareness about the great cause the Pet Mayor Contest supports, leading to many with a Twitter presence to tweet and blog and otherwise champion the cause on their own.

Bella wanted to that everyone who came out to support her and the MVH Pet & Wildlife Fund last night. We especially wanted to thank Montclair Bistro for hosting the event.

The great folks at Fentons are at it again, this time supporting the Pet & Wildlife Fund as part of their Sundae of the Month feature. When you purchase a mouth-watering ice cream S’more, 25 percent of each sundae sold goes to the Pet & Wildlife Fund.

June 21 is the final day of voting for 2009’s Montclair Pet Mayor Contest. To celebrate, there will be voting booths and free ice cream at the amazing Fentons Creamery from 11 a.m.—1 p.m.

You are invited to Montclair Bistro’s “Guest bartender night” to benefit candidates in the Pet Mayor of Montclair contest. Tips and a percentage of sales during the guest bartender special event are donated to The Pet and Wildlife Fund Pet Mayor race for the following contestants: Rico, Gracie & Bella
