Dana Thistlethwaite, DVM, grew up in Sonoma County and received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from UC Santa Cruz. After a brief stint as a dog walker in San Francisco, she decided to pursue her love of animals further, and returned to school to become a Veterinarian. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 2008. Dana has been practicing in Pacifica since graduation, and a move to the East Bay has brought her to Montclair Veterinary Hospital in 2015. Dana enjoys all aspects of clinical practice, from wellness visits to complicated internal medicine cases. She prides herself on working with her clients to figure out the best plan for both the patient and the owner. Dana treats dogs and cats. When not working, Dana enjoys exploring the East Bay, cooking, reading, and hiking. She lives in Oakland with her husband Bennett, her two young daughters, Opal and Daphne, and their two cats, Kiwi and Jicama.
